Ingredients (Makes 8–10 Chapatis)

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup water (as needed)
  • 2 tbsp TREFO Sunflower Oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Extra flour for rolling
  • Additional TREFO Sunflower Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Step 1. In a large bowl, mix whole wheat flour and salt. Add TREFO Sunflower Oil and combine well.
  2. Step 2. Gradually add water and knead into a soft, smooth dough. Cover and rest for 20–30 minutes.
  3. Step 3. Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll them into balls.
  4. Step 4. Dust each ball with flour and roll out into thin, round discs.
  5. Step 5. Heat a flat pan (tawa) on medium heat. Place a rolled chapati and cook until bubbles appear.
  6. Step 6. Flip and cook the other side, brushing lightly with TREFO Sunflower Oil until golden spots appear.
  7. Step 7. Repeat for remaining dough balls. Serve hot with curry or vegetables.
