Ingredients (Makes 8–10 Chapatis)
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- ½ cup water (as needed)
- 2 tbsp TREFO Sunflower Oil
- ½ tsp salt
- Extra flour for rolling
- Additional TREFO Sunflower Oil for cooking
Instructions
- Step 1. In a large bowl, mix whole wheat flour and salt. Add TREFO Sunflower Oil and combine well.
- Step 2. Gradually add water and knead into a soft, smooth dough. Cover and rest for 20–30 minutes.
- Step 3. Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll them into balls.
- Step 4. Dust each ball with flour and roll out into thin, round discs.
- Step 5. Heat a flat pan (tawa) on medium heat. Place a rolled chapati and cook until bubbles appear.
- Step 6. Flip and cook the other side, brushing lightly with TREFO Sunflower Oil until golden spots appear.
- Step 7. Repeat for remaining dough balls. Serve hot with curry or vegetables.
